Fine Equestrian Art

by Wendy Herrmann

Wendy Herrmann, a Cincinnati Artist, has developed a tactile process for creating her artwork that combines figurative painting and collage to express her thoughts and ideas regarding the interwoven relationships of man, animal, and nature. The horse is her muse, and is the primary subject in all of her work. Integrating discarded objects that were most likely considered precious by an individual in the distant past, she imprints the human presence on the artwork, allowing viewers a way to connect to the equestrian subject, often in a very personal manner.

A graduate of the Art Academy of Cincinnati (class of 1993), Wendy has been a resident artist at Closson's Art Gallery in Downtown Cincinnati since 1997. Her art can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the Mid-West, including the Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Bell Telephone, and Cincinnati Financial.
